Polyvagal Therapy

Polyvagal Therapy works with your nervous system, not against it. Instead of trying to “think” your way out of distress, this approach helps you understand your body’s automatic reactions and learn how to shift into safety and connection. Rooted in Polyvagal Theory, this therapy offers practical ways to regain control, awareness, and emotional balance by working with your body's built-in survival responses.

Process / What's invovled
Start by booking a free 15 minute Discovery Call – a chance to discuss your needs and see if we are a good fit. There is no obligation to commit, but if you decide to move forward, you can schedule your next session through the online booking system.

Each 50 minute session (£90) focuses on identifying patterns of dysregulation, practicing regulation techniques, and building long-term resilience.

For ongoing support, I offer the Relational Trauma & Nervous System Regulation Packages:

My Approach
Your reactions, whether shutting down, feeling on edge, lashing out, or disconnecting, are natural survival responses. These patterns were developed by your nervous system to protect you, but they don’t have to define you. When your body senses danger, even without a real threat, these responses become automatic. Over time, this can make it hard to feel safe, trust others, or connect. By understanding these patterns, you can begin to rebuild control, resilience, and choice.

Polyvagal Therapy helps you understand how your nervous system responds to stress and supports lasting change through body-based strategies. We also pay attention to glimmers—small moments of safety and connection that show your system is moving toward balance.
Sessions may include:

Mapping your nervous system – learning what triggers stress and what brings safety.

Building anchors – using breath, movement, and sensory cues to return to a grounded state.

Developing nervous system flexibility – so you can respond rather than react to stress.

Practical tools for self-regulation – tailored techniques to help you regain control in daily life.
This approach is especially helpful if you experience emotional overwhelm, trauma, relationship challenges, or patterns of addiction linked to nervous system dysregulation.
